STAB VIDA provides the Dr Vida Pocket PCR mobile application (“App”) to control and collect data from the Doctor Vida pocket medical device and analyse and report the IVD test results performed in such device.

When we refer to personal data, we refer to any information of any nature and regardless of its support, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is anyone who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
The entity responsible for the collection and processing of personal data is STAB VIDA and in that context decides which data is collected, the means of processing the data and for what purposes are used.
STAB VIDA, as part of its activity, proceeds to the collection and processing of personal data necessary for the supply of products and services, treating in this context data such as: name, position, phone number and email address. In case of prior consent of the Client or the User, which may be withdrawn at any time, STAB VIDA will process the data for the time necessary. When performing an assay with the App, we also collect information about the sample, but the Client or the User may introduce any information in this field, that may not be necessarily a personal data. In fact, STAB VIDA does recommend to pseudonymise, aggregate and/or anonymize such information in this field.
STAB VIDA collects your data through one of its website(s) and App(s), with your consent. In a regular basis, personal data is collected when you register. Some personal data are mandatory and, in case of lack or insufficiency of these data, STAB VIDA cannot accept your registration. In each case, STAB VIDA will inform Customers of the mandatory nature of the provision of personal data in question. If you are not a STAB VIDA Customer, your data will be processed if you provide personal data to STAB VIDA, for example, if you subscribe to newsletters, in which case the rules of this Privacy Policy will apply. The personal data collected are treated in a computerized manner and in strict compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data, and are stored in a specific database and in no case will the data collected be used for another purpose other than that for which the consent of the data subject was given.
In general, the personal data collected is intended for the management of the business relationship taking into account the needs and interests of the Client, information and marketing actions, campaigns, promotions, advertising and news about the products, as well as for carrying out market studies and evaluation surveys. In the App, personal data collection allows to grant Client or Users with exclusive access to their assay results.
We receive data input into the App(s) and/or website(s) before it is then stored in cloud servers, which are located in France. We have implemented appropriate security measures and controls to protect personal information.
The length of time during which the data is stored and preserved varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. Effectively there are legal requirements that require you to retain the data for a minimum period of time. As long as there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and preserved only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes that led to its collection or subsequent processing or, for the period of time authorized by the National Data Protection Commission, at the end of which they will be eliminated.

STAB VIDA is committed to ensure the protection and the security of the personal data that are made available to us, and has adopted and implemented rules in this regard. Compliance with these rules is an undeniable obligation to all of those that legally access them. Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by STAB VIDA, we are obliged to alert all App and internet users that they should take additional security measures, namely to ensure that they use an updated android phone, PC and/or Browser in terms of properly configured security patches, with active firewall, antivirus and antispyware, and make sure about the authenticity of the mobile apps you install and websites you visit on the internet, and avoid websites whose reputation you do not trust.
"Cookies" are small software labels that are stored on your computer through the browser, retaining only information related to your preferences, not including your personal data. STABVIDA may use cookies to help determine the usefulness, the interest and the number of uses of its websites, allowing a faster navigation, eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. The use of cookies is a normal practice among Internet websites, and most Internet browsers allow a user to accept, decline or delete cookies, in particular by selecting the appropriate settings in their browser. The cookies used by STAB VIDA respect the anonymity and will not be used to collect any personal information nor will they be used for marketing purposes. Our App(s) may need access to certain features on your device, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/mobile data network, in order to properly function. This information is used to allow the App(s) to run on your device, allow you to interact with the App(s) and connect/pair with its companion medical device. At any time you may revoke your permissions by turning these off at the device level, but the App(s) functionality may become limited. In particular, after installation, the app will request the user permission to access the following equipment services (with the following purposes):
Location
This permission is requested to allow the App(s) to scan for nearby companion devices in order to pair and stablish
a Bluetooth connection with such devices, allowing to control them and perform new assays. This function may run in
background to allow the App(s) to keep track of Bluetooth connection status and maintain assay results data
transfer, even if the user is performing other tasks in the mobile equipment.
If such permission is not allowed, the App will only be able to function partially, to provide access to results of
previously performed assays, but the Client or User will not be able to pair with the device, nor conduct any new
assays.
Camera
This permission is requested to allow access to camera such that the Client or User may scan the data matrix code
provided with the device (for pairing) and/or assay kits (for registering assay reference and lot number).
The Client or User may opt-out on this permission, and in this case, fill in the required fields manually.
Storage
This permission is requested to allow temporary storage of information related to some App(s) function.
The Client or User may opt-out on this permission, while still using most of the App(s) main functions.
STAB VIDA reserves the right at any time to make adjustments or changes to this Privacy Policy, these changes being duly publicized on the App(s) and STAB VIDA website(s).
